Mature males have a gonopodium. Mature females are large than males.

An active mid-top dwelling fish. Will eat fish smaller than itself but is relatively peaceful towards fish too large to eat. Should be housed with robust yet peaceful fish larger than the Minnow.

An active predator which should take most foods include floating flake and pellets as well as live/frozen foods like bloodworm.

A large and unusual livebearer which is Gar-like in shape. It is olive-green to cream-brown in colour with some spotting and iridescence on the flanks. The snout is very pointed.
