These fish will be hard to find in Aquarium shops. Either because they're rare in the wild or endangered, very sensitive to water conditions, won't breed or difficult to feed in captivity, or too large to keep in a regular sized tank. If they are found in stores, they're likely to be expensive.

Some of these fish will need expert care, and may only be seen only in public aquaria, if in captivity at all.
