Frozen foods are usually partial or whole creatures packaged in a frozen state to retain taste, texture, and nutrients. The advantage of frozen foods is that they are often more readily available than "live" organisms, and generally better accepted by fish than foods that have been freeze-dried. Once thawed, frozen foods also do not float like dried foods, allowing fish that prefer to feed in the lower strata the opportunity to receive a share.
