A predatory fish that isn't fussy and will eat most meaty foods as well as pellets.

Environment Specifics

As this fish gets very large it is best kept in a tank or tropical pond with a large footprint. The tank should be very well filtered as this fish is messy. Any décor should be heavy and secure as this fish could easily move unstable objects, décor can include large bits of bogwood or river rocks.

Behaviour

A mid-bottom dwelling solitary and predatory catfish.

Identification

A very large growing fish with a broad head and large mouth. The body is silver with a pale cream belly, the fins slightly darker in colour, and it has four sets of barbels around the mouth.
