[edit] Sexing

Females have a larger underbelly, when viewed from the top will look a lot wider than a male. Males are smaller in length than females also.

[edit] Tank compatibility

Very peaceful small community fish that should be kept in shoals of 4-5 or more. Will not intentionally bother tank inhabitants, however their bumbling about the tank may bother more delicate fish or other bottom dwellers. Due to this fish's tiny size, it should not be kept with anything that could eat it.

Not very fussy, will accept small or crushed pellets or flakes, benefits from live or frozen food such as daphnia.

[edit] Feeding regime

These fish are most active at night, so feeding once before lights out is typically enough. Though they can be persuaded to feed during the day.

[edit] Environment Specifics

Prefers a fine sand or small gravel substrate, plenty of hiding places. No sharp objects as they can damage their barbels. They can be quite sensitive, so acclimitise them carefully to a new tank.

[edit] Behaviour

Loves company, so keep this fish in groups of 5+. As with most Corys, the Habrosus spends most of it's time on the substrate, but will occasionally be seen free-swimming in the mid-levels of the tank and even zip to the surface to gulp air.

Very small but chunky cory, mottled grey along the back with a pale tummy, a bold black line running horizontally across their flanks, this line may be solid or broken into several blotches. Can be mistaken with Corydoras cochui.
