Comes from shallow, slow moving creeks or pools of water with highly variable pH and hardness.
Tolerant of a wide range of water parameters as long as they are stable. A nutrient rich substrate is essential to prevent holes from forming in its leaves. Prone to growing algae on old leaves.

Large, ovate leaves with new leaves displaying a pink/red underside.
