- The female is fuller in the belly than males.

- A peaceful shoaling community fish that should be kept in groups of 6 or more. Keep with other peaceful community fish.

- Will accept most foods including pellet and flake as well as live/frozen food such as brine shrimp and bloodworm.

[edit] Identification
- An elongate slender Tetra which is pale in base colour with a vivid bright yellow lateral line from the gills to the caudal peduncle. At the caudal peduncle there is a large black dot. The caudal fin itself is sharply forked and and the fins are mainly translucent with a slight yellow tint.
