- Best kept in a species tank due to this fish's predatory nature. Can be kept with others of its own kind provided they are of similar size.

- A very elongate slender fish with large scales that are iridescent silver in colour, sometimes with golden hues, and a forked caudal fin. It has large sharp teeth which are always visible and can inflict injury.
