[edit] Tank compatibility
- A peaceful timid Goby that should not be kept with aggressive fish. Although generally peaceful towards tankmates it can be territorial towards its own kind and other similar Gobies. Can be kept in pairs if they are a proven mated male/female pair.
[edit] Diet
- This fish will constantly sift through the substrate for food, it should be supplemented with live/frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and suitable prepared food designed for saltwater carnivores.
[edit] Feeding regime
- Feed at least twice a day, be sure not to underfeed this fish.
[edit] Environment Specifics
- Must be provided with a live sand substrate and plenty of caves to hide in. Be sure any live rock is secure as this fish will dig through substrate and can cause collapse if rock is not secure. Be sure the tank has a secure lid as these fish can jump.
[edit] Behaviour
- A timid fish that will dart away and hide if startled. It will also burrow and sift through the substrate, this keeps the substrate will oxygenated and generally free from pests like algae.
[edit] Identification
- An attractive little Goby which is typical Goby in shape with a long body and large head and mouth with the eyes positioned on top of the head. It is white in base colour with orange spots down the body and into the fins.
