[edit] Feeding regime

Feed once or twice a day.

[edit] Environment Specifics

These fish are pretty unfussy with water conditions and very adaptable. They do best in brackish though, alkaline and a temperature 75-81°F (23.9-27.2°C) .

[edit] Behaviour

A peaceful mouth-brooding Cichlid with plenty of character. Often bred as a food-fish.

[edit] Identification

A large oval Cichlid which iridescent grey-blue in colour, the males are dark grey, the females lighter. Males have a pronounced dished face and red edging to the fins.
