[edit] Sexing
- Females substantially larger looking than the slimline males. Easy to breed, they are egg scatterers, can cross-breed with other Danio species.
[edit] Tank compatibility
- Peaceful active little fish that is happiest in groups of 5 or more, but due to their size should be kept with non-aggressive fish that can't swallow them.

- Will accept most commercial flake or small pellet foods. Will also take frozen or live food such as brine shrimp or daphnia. Bloodworm is too large for these fish.

- Twice a day.
[edit] Environment Specifics
- Very similar care to the Zebra Danio. However they're more sensitive to water conditions so regular small water changes are necessary for these fish to thrive.

- Small active fish, don't tightly shoal but do appreciate company of the same species so keep in groups of 6+.
[edit] Identification
- Typical long Danio shape, silver body with a bold white line running horizontally down the middle of the flanks, bordered with black lines. Beneath this and on the belly are small black spots, sometimes blending with the black line which is underneath the white line.
