Talk:Plant Profile

From The Aquarium Wiki

I've altered this profile to include pH and water hardness. But these topics don't appear to show up in my Riccia fluitans page. So Brian, do you need to do something special to the profile to make these topics show up in the page?

Also wouldn't it be a good idea to place at the bottom the three categories these plant profiles could appear in? Then the person can remove the ones they don't want?

ie plant freshwater plant brackish plant salt, etc.?

Sure I could do somthing like that.

To answer your question, yes you have to modify the wiki code to make the new parameters of a profile set up so I will do that when I get back, it is fairly complicated but you are more then welcome to take a crack at it.

Do you mean somthing like:

 |freshwater = 1
 |saltwater =
 |brackish =

?

I think that system could be a bit hard to understand. One thing we could use would be specific gravity, but i think the concept is lost on alot of aquarists especially if they are not into salt or brackish water. Ex they set the sg to 1.00 for FW, 1.00-1.whatever for bracksih etc. Let me know your ideas i'll change this tomrrow. --146.201.172.162 23:16, 9 April 2006 (CDT)

OK I added pH placement, and water hardness, still trying to decide ho to to brackish, fresh, salt. --PsiPro 21:52, 10 April 2006 (CDT)
