Here is a close second to Brian's.

Disco shoes. See article.

Yes, in the Seventies designers briefly showed off goldfish in the heel of their shoes.

But they didn't make it to actual production, the picture shows a modern version with a plastic goldfish.

Yikes, at least the goldfish is fake in that one.
On a side note, I don't know if goldfish like disco music. If they don't, we ought torment the people who want to put in a live goldfish with this music: http://thesimsonstage.ea.com/playPerformance.html?performanceId=xDWH0uINktI%3D&play=Y
Just a thought Wink

I came to the same conclusions many years ago. 90% of everything we make is rubbish. Trying to find that remaining 10% is our goal in life.

Saw a new aquarium tank on sale in The Aquatic Centre Shop in Edinburgh at the weekend.
They had 10 boxes of them on their sales counter. Yes - 10.

These are £25 each and come with a overhead lamp, a large hang-on trickle filter and the tank is about 6" square. That's about 3-4 litres of water!

From China of course.

The shop had a sand substrate in it and two bunches of hair grass in it with a Betta. But the poor thing was desperately trying to hide from all the people looking on from above and failing miserably.

I looked at the packing box and yes you guessed it. It has example pictures (drawn not photos) of it in use and there was the obligatory picture of two goldfish in it!

I mentioned this to the shop assistant and she agreed that it stupid and she said she told purchasers to ignore the pictures.

Nano tanks are getting very popular and we'll no doubt see a lot more of these in the shops.

Speaking of nano, on my last trip to St. Lucia I visited a few rock pools, and I kept a temporary picotope aquarium of about six ounces I kept this beautiful zebra nerite and a snail I couldn't identify.

Yes, some people in Japan have incorporated a Deep Fat Frying facility on top of a Goldfish Tank!

As the hot oil floats, it stays away from the fish!

You've got to see it to believe it!

Yes, it's been converted rather well.

Though if I remember correctly didn't those plastic cases get removed from sale as they cracked a lot...  Wink

USB powered aquarium. This is just plain sick. Why don't they make them bigger? Grin
