Environment Specifics

A very easy plant much like its cousin Anubias barteri var. nana, although larger than A.nana. Not eaten by most herbivores, it has a very bitter taste. Does best tied with fishing line to rock or bogwood and will rot if placed directly into the substrate. Propagation by splitting of the rhizome or by pollination.

Identification

Has broad heart-shaped leaves which are tough and bright green, rising from a rhizome.
