Additional names
- Catalina Goby, Blue-Banded Goby
Tank compatibility
- Keep one Catalina Goby to a tank, they will not tolerate their own kind. As this is a small fish, it's best for rocky invertebrate set ups with just a few other fish, any fish that is to be kept with the Catalina Goby should be peaceful and not occupy the same areas meaning all tankmates have to be midwater or surface fish.
= Environment specifics
- Prefers cooler waters and will perish sooner than usual if kept at warmer tropical temperatures. Needs rocky places to hide.
Identification
- A highly attractive little goby. Has a typical goby body shape with bright red-orange base color with several brilliant vertical blue bands running from its head and right down its body.
