- The leaves vary in length depending on aquarium conditions. For the best result, provide bright lighting and a nutrient-and-iron rich loose substrate. Under moderate lighting, the leaves may appear thin and weak. Bright lighting intensify the leaf colour.

- Grows similar to Hygrophilia in plant shape, with elongated green leaves and a copper/red stem.
