Many of the aquarium fish species are now endangered even though some of them can be farm-bred. This is due to their slow reproductive rate, pollution, habitat destruction and over-collection. Therefore, keepers should think carefully whether their action will pose any threats to the wild population of these species before buying, in order to reduce unesscessary pressure to the wild popualtion and avoid these fish disappearing from the world. In otherwords, keepers should not buy these fishe unless they can help saving these fish by joining captive breeding programmes and practising actions that can save their habitat.
