About FSAS[edit]

The Federation of Scottish Aquarist Societies (FSAS) consists of 13 Aquarist Societies throughout Scotland who hold regular meetings and yearly Open Shows, thus highlighting in the Scottish International Open Show which incorporates the Scottish Champion of Champions with an Open Show for both Senior and Junior fishkeepers.

The Scottish Federation was formed on the 18th of May 1958 at the Queens Hotel Perth, 25 aquarists representing clubs from all over Scotland met under the Chairmanship of Mr. Vasey the Perth club President, and after a short humorous discussion in which all were asked their views, it was unanimously agreed to form "The Federation of Scottish Aquarist Societies". Now the Federation consists of Aquarist Societies from Grangemouth, Greenock, Perth, Mussleburgh, Linlithgow, Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Workington in Cumbria.
