Hmm, it sounds like you are using a work/public computer and/or linked to a work/public network; in that case, it seems the system Administrator is blocking said action. You will have to bring this to the system Administrator, whomever it is.

If it is a personal computer and/or network, I'd like to ask what kind of browser are you using (for example, I use to use Google Chrome, but has now switched to Vivaldi). If this is the case, either it's the browser preventing you, or your internet provider, or I.P. has blocked it - I wouldn't rule the latter one, as internet providers have been known to block entire websites, but for more practical reasons, inspect your browser first. Check your general browser security settings, or see how the setting are working on this website specifically (Chrome, and Vivaldi, for example, allow you to delete cookies specific to a website, or allow you to set security settings to a specific website by clicking the padlock icon in the URL box to the direct left of the URL itself when you are on the website you want to set said security settings for).

As this wiki recently switched settings so non-registered users can edit pages (to be honest, I am incredibly distrustful of this personally because people can do stupid shit, but I'm no Admin, and likewise have no say in this), I can add that description to your page for you, but for courtesy's sake not without your permission, however, and would consider this a last resort. I still haven't found out how to lock a page (probably have to be an Admin to do this); nonetheless, even if I post it for you, the error can prevent you from contributing to this wiki,

No problem. I take this to mean you'd like me to add it. For that, I added said description. If you don't like it, you can always use "edit source" to change it.

Welcome to The Aquarium Wiki Jack Dempsey!

We strive to provide the aquarium community with a central repository of information to promote responsible fishkeeping.

We hope you will enjoy your time here sharing what you know, or just browsing what we have to offer.

We don't bite, and would be happy to help you learn how to edit this resource.
Just leave a message on the talk pages of any of the administrators - Brian, Quatermass, or Catxx.

Help notice reply[edit]

Hi there,

Since the Admins are rarely online (dunno what Cat is up to, and Brian is now a father of two), I am currently your closest bet for help.

My User page is blank, but the user page functions under the same method used to create any of the encyclopedia entries. I've successfully tried editing actions on my userpage (it's blank because I have no true intentions of adding anything so far), and was successful. How does the problem show? Is the browser showing an error versus the page itself? My good guess is that your internet, or browser is at fault. Perhaps closing it, and reopening it (quitting the browser if you are using Mac), or restarting the computer would fix it?

If the Admins can end up giving you a better answer, assuming they go online, and see your message, I deem it might be prudent then to follow their advice, should they give it.

I am truly sorry I can't currently give a more specific diagnosis, given the very general description (If you can specify, I might be able to help you further).

No matter what happens in the end, I wish you the best, and welcome you to this wiki (I AM a tad bit tired of being oftentimes the only user to add/edit/update pages)

Also, you can visit my discussion page here to reply directly; as you can get sooner correspondence via a discussion page, I reccommend you use that.

UPDATE[edit]

Hmm, it sounds like you are using a work/public computer and/or linked to a work/public network; in that case, it seems the system Administrator is blocking said action. You will have to bring this to the system Administrator, whomever it is.

Ok[edit]

No problem. I take this to mean you'd like me to add it. For that, I added said description. If you don't like it, you can always use "edit source" to change it.

I wish you the best in your new computer. Hope you can get one that lasts.
