Additional names
- Guppy, Sardinita
Origin[edit]
- South America: small coastal drainages of the Venezuelan departments Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Territorio Federal and in Brazilian states of Amap and Par; Guam and Tocantins River basins; Cuyuni, Mazaruni, Essequibo and Corantijn River basins.

- Sex can be determined by the presence of the gonopodium organ on males. Unlike the other Guppy, while fertilisation is internal, these fish are egg layers.
Identification[edit]
- Unlike its more common namesake, the Tomeurus gracilis is a small and slender fish with a relatively colourless translucent slightly iridescent body. The fins are colourless.
Size[edit]
The Guppy can grow up to 3.3cm (1.3"). They are a small fish species compared to other fish.
