Sexing
- Males have blue bodies with reddish orange outlining their belly and fins. Males also have extended rays on their dorsal and anal fins. Females share the reddish orange outlines on fins and belly, but have a metallic yellow body. Dark color morph forms if the fish is kept in a tank with dark substrate.
Tank compatibility
- Best kept in groups of 6 or more.
Diet
- Should accept a variety of foods including pellet and flake as well as live/frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworm.
Feeding regime
- Feed once or twice a day.
